About the Job
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Administrative Director, the Ophthalmic Technician assists ophthalmologists and optometrists in their patients’ eye examinations. Duties include performing various vision tests, collecting medical data, monitoring and maintaining patient flow, scribing, and assisting physicians with various procedures; as well as assisting with various administrative duties within the Ophthalmology Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Minimum high school graduate or GED, or equivalent education and experience.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: none
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: All skills listed in job description. In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in ophthalmology or clinical setting
