About the Job
Responsible for ensuring that all outpatients at all facilities are accurately registered, insurance is verified, appropriate referrals have been obtained and out of pocket expenses calculated. Identifies all scheduled patients without insurance and contacts them to discuss payment or coverage options. Reviews all scheduled patients to verify insurance, secure referrals, assesses out of pocket, alerts patient to needs prior to visit and determines financial clearance. Interviews all self-pay patients, screening for Medicaid, Free Care and other services per the Uncompensated Care Guidelines. Meets monthly cash collection goals which serves to reduce Bad Debt.
