About the Job
Position Summary:
Funded under a grant from the Dept of Public Health, the Compass Moms Do Care Program, part of the High Risk Intervention Team, was created to address the complex social and medical needs of substance-exposed neonates and their mothers. The outpatient Compass Moms Do Care program will provide prenatal care and substance use treatment to pregnant women during pregnancy and up to one year post-partum as well as women parenting a child up to three years old.
A Peer Recovery Mom is a support paraprofessional and part of an integrated program who promotes recovery to women with substance use disorder (SUD) by encouraging, mentoring, educating and linking women with SUD to the resources in the recovery community. Reports to the Program Manager of the High Risk Intervention Team.
