About the Job

The Addictions Treatment Services division with Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILHBS) consists of a variety of residential programs and detox facilities that serve individuals who seek recovery from addiction and mental health issues. All clients are treated with dignity, respect, and the belief that everyone has the ability to grow when they are provided support, education and direction.  The Receptionist position is a unique opportunity for a customer service focused individual who wants to make a difference in the addiction treatment field by ensuring seamless access to services and acting as the first impression of the organization.

 The Receptionist’s Responsibilities Are:

• Operates switchboard and takes messages, utilizing TTY equipment as needed.
• Transfers telephone system to and from evening service, retrieving and relaying messages taken by the service.
• Greets visitors and notifies appropriate staff of their arrival.
• Collects client payments and schedules appointments.
• Complies with cash control procedures including preparation of daily cash receipt log and accuracy and security of cash box.
• Assists with and notifies the Manager on duty of any issues in the waiting area.
• Keeps census log up to date and obtains medical charts from the records department.

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a related field is preferred.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and electronic health records preferred.
