About the Job

Our nursing float pool supplements staffing throughout the Medical Center based on need. Nurses who work at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center Float Pool can float between multiple areas:

  • Medical & Surgical, Telemetry and Progressive Cardiac Care Units
  • Medical & Surgical, Telemetry and Progressive Neurology Unit
  • Medical & Surgical Unit
  • Transplant Unit
  • Hematology/Oncology Unit
  • Urology and Colorectal Surgical Unit
  • Ortho NeuroSurgery Trauma Unit

Scheduled Hours

36 Days/Nights Rotation; 12 hour shifts; every other weekend and holiday rotation commitment


2 years of Acute care medical-surgical experience

Education: Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing. BSN Required

Licensure, Certification, Registration:
- Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- BLS certification with American Heart Association

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  
 Clinical Skills/Technical Knowledge
