About the Job

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Manager of Digital Marketing will create and implement digital marketing initiatives in support of Beth Israel Lahey Health outbound marketing initiatives. They will collaborate with a team of marketing and communication colleagues to support the development and execution of digital patient acquisition, branding and retention campaigns to benefit service lines and business units within Beth Israel Lahey Health. They will work cross-functionally with colleagues from across the marketing department as well as other BILH departments in the support and management of outbound marketing activities, including providing reporting and regular updates on campaign successes. The Manager, Digital Marketing will be responsible for digital strategy and execution, project management, budgeting, results tracking and optimization for initiatives that support system as well as local needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals, including digital advertising, social advertising, email, and other outbound marketing tactics. 

  • Manage paid search, paid social and display advertising on behalf of Beth Israel Lahey Health service lines and business units. 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of traditional digital marketing tools and tactics (SEM, paid social, display, etc.). 

  • Work collaboratively with vendors and internal marketing colleagues to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to measurement and the ability to establish strategic KPIs and determine ROI for all campaigns.

  • Experience working with CRM tools including marketing automation

  • Engage in day-to-day collaboration with other members of the digital team.

  • Collaborate with leadership team to develop a strategic approach for short and long-range planning.

  • Provide a results-driven approach to all initiatives with a focus on providing best in class service and expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree required


  • Minimum of 8 years of communications and marketing experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing digital advertising campaigns. Health care industry experience a plus.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of traditional digital marketing and consumer engagement tools.

  • Ability to think strategic and develop solutions with complex business challenges.

  • Must demonstrate initiative/self-starter and be able to work independently with a sense of direction/urgency.

  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, prioritize projects and provide results in a timely manner.

  • Strong negotiating skills and vendor management experience.

  • Social media and SEM experience as they relate to marketing plan development.

  • Excellent computer skills, word processing.

  • Experience InDesign and message boards a plus.

  • Must have excellent project management skills, be detail-oriented, prioritize projects and provide results in a timely manner.

  • Creative thinker/writer/problem-solver.

  • Comfortable working closely with physicians and department heads and providing them with appropriate marketing advice and counsel.

  • Known for integrity, flexibility, and energy.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Be a team player with positive attitude.
