About the Job

$3,000 sign on bonus 

The clinical pharmacist will review, interpret and verify medication orders.  Monitors medications and intervenes to ensure the appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety of the patient’s medication use. Provides accurate and timely drug information while complying with all legal and practice standards. The clinical pharmacist will serve on the Beverly Hospital decentralized/floor pharmacist team where he/she will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, and cost-effective pharmacotherapy for inpatients.  Typical care team involvement includes participation in multidisciplinary medical/surgical inpatient rounds, individual medication therapy monitoring, provision of drug information, and education of both healthcare team members and patients. The clinical pharmacist will also rotate through the coverage of the main pharmacy to retain his/her foundational operational pharmacist skill set and promote well-rounded pharmacy services.

Scheduled Hours

40 hours per week, day shift. Weekend coverage once every four weeks. Required to cover holidays and on-call on a rotating basis.

Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy Requires a working knowledge of all basic aspects of health system pharmacy (including drug therapeutics and sterile compounding) Prior experience with Epic is preferable. 

Qualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License required. At least one year of hospital experience as a pharmacist and/or recent completion of a PGY1 residency.
