About the Job
Position Summary: Supports the mission of the department by ensuing that the right patients receive the right medication in a safe and timely manner under the direct supervision of an inpatient pharmacist. Develops a full understanding of the drug distribution system and demonstrates competency in carrying out all duties associated with delivering medications to the patient care units.

20) Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education. |
|
21) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department. |

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must be a registered technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy. Technician must be nationally certified by PTCB (preferred) or equivalent within 6 months of start date.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet the requirements of this job description. Math skills are required.
Experience: Must have satisfied competency criteria as required for incumbent to successfully attain their MA Pharmacy Technician registration.
