About the Job
Position Summary: Reporting to the MRI Chief Technologist, the primary function and responsibility of the MRI Lead Technologist is the day to day MRI operation, including the interaction between all departments at the hospital and outpatient center. Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, the Lead Technologist ensures that staff technologists utilize their technical skills and training to ensure the safe and accurate operations of the MRI scanner. Under general supervision of the Chief Technologist and under the direction of a Radiologist, can perform diagnostic MRI/MRA on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients on designated areas of the body as requested by a physician.

Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Upholds standards set by the ARRT regarding diagnostic procedures and professional ethics.
License, Certification & Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Bachehlor of Science Degree in Advanced Level Certification in MRI, Basic Life Support
