About the Job

Position Summary:  Under the general direction of the Administrative Director, the Site Manager, Specialty Site is responsible for the day-to-day managerial and operational responsibilities of running a specialty care site and of multiple health care providers.

• Interviews and selects candidates for review and final approval for hire  by Administrative Director.
• Reviews and approves daily work schedules for staff.
• Ensures site is adequately staffed at all times by monitoring, reviewing and approving time away requests.
• Provided review of and documents for practice staff  annual performance appraisals.   
• Evaluates and selects colleagues for transfer, promotion, and special training to ensure most effective utilization of individual skills and staff development. 
• Supervises daily work performance of the staff to ensure adherence to established standards. 
• Reviews work performance and makes decisions for pay increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action and other human resource actions. 
• Trains  all new staff in site and department specific policies and procedures. 
• Orients colleagues that are new to area or new to the performance of specific tasks. 
• Establishes work schedules and assigns staff to specified areas of the department. 
• Counsels, disciplines and recommends discharge as necessary. 
• Determines if retraining is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in health care, business management or related discipline preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: 

None required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  

Demonstrated management and/or supervisory skills, strong approach and commitment to quality patient care, and cost containment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  Demonstrated record of accomplishment  and initiative. Ability to problem solve, work with minimal direction and supervision.

Experience:      

A minimum 3 years progressively responsible management/supervisory experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
