About the Job
The Clinical Coordinator works closely with the OR Nurse Manager in running the day to day operations of the OR. As a member of an interdisciplinary team he/she is responsible for leading nurses, techs and support staff during the shift by making assignments and reviewing direct care given to the patient. The Clinical Coordinator has expert knowledge of Operating Room best practices, has an in-depth understanding of hospital policies and procedures, has excellent critical thinking abilities, is organized and can multitask along with being an effective communicator. The Clinical Coordinator works closely with the surgeons and anesthesia team on scheduling elective and emergent surgical cases. The Clinical Coordinator must also perform clerical tasks such as making the monthly schedule and collecting data as requested. The Clinical Coordinator provides feedback into all staffs annual reviews as well as when there is the need for performing disciplinary action.
40 hours per week, day shift.
