About the Job

The Ambulatory Division with Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILHBS) consists of several Community Behavioral Health Clinics that serve a diverse clientele in a variety of office-based and outreach-based settings. Our outpatient clinics aim to support children, adolescents, adults, families & couples with mental health and substance use disorders through counseling and therapy sessions and other group programming activities. Services include an addiction day treatment program, driver alcohol education & repeat offender programs, court evaluations, medication clinics and more.

The Office Managers overses administrative functions and projects within a program or group of programs. Responsibilities include coordination of administrative support, projects and operations. The Office Manager position is a unique opportunity for an individual who wants to make a difference in the behavioral health field by ensuring seamless access to services.

 The Office Managers Responsibilities Are:

  • Supervises staff and ensures that the office administrative functions assigned are effectively carried out.
  • Orientates new employees to program and helps them get set up with appropriate access.
  • Advises staff on personnel policies, payroll, travel expense, check request, purchasing, record keeping, training, etc.
  • Monitors physical site need in relation to maintenance, information technology and supplies.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, forms, work orders, and specialized documents.
  • Collaborates with other departments as required to meet facility requirements for licensing bodies, occupancy certificates, etc.
  • Oversees medical records function for program and manages all mail and other patient related correspondence.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and electronic health records preferred.


Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm)
