About the Job

Position Summary:

Performs primary functions of the Registered Pharmacist in interpreting and evaluating medication orders and prescriptions. Prepares and dispenses medications in accordance with established hospital and laws governing such acts.  Supervises and verifies the accuracy of all work performed by pharmacy technicians/interns.  Performs clinical functions of the department and provides pharmaceutical services to Neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.  Is responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of patients. .

Scheduled Hours

  • 40 hours per week, 2:30p-11:00p(Evening Shift). 
  • No weekend or on call coverage rotation required.  
  • Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis.

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • At least one year of Hospital experience as a pharmacist preferred.  
  • Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License required.
  • Requires a working knowledge of all basic aspects of health system pharmacy(including drug therapeutics and sterile compounding).
  • Prior experience with  epic is preferable.
