About the Job
Under the general supervision of the Director of Cancer Biology, performance of specimen collection, study coordination, and cell and molecular biology techniques. In addition to the performance of these duties, design and execute novel experimental techniques integrating advances in biotechniques. Provides a variety of support to the professional and support staff of the Institution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of experience over and above the experience requirement listed below.
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
Required phlebotomy certificate or equivalent or willingness to obtain the certificate
Previous experience in hospital and/or laboratory experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, ability to function under pressure and without constant supervision. Able to determine and implement priorities. Word processing/personal computer/database management skills.
Knowledge of assessing techniques and reporting. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and staff at all levels. Ability to mange time and resources. Knowledge of mathematics sufficient to perform the required calculations for computation of results and for preparation of appropriate cell suspensions and solutions.
