About the Job
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a MSW for the Emergency Department on our Burlington campus. Candidate may be asked to provide clinical coverage within the inpatient hospital medical units as needed. Successful candidate will provide counseling, support, crisis intervention and other psychosocial interventions to patients and their families in an acute care setting. Experience working with trauma, substance use disorders, masshealth, domestic violence, abuse and neglect (child, elder, disabled), end of life and care coordination is helpful.
Qualifications: Skilled in the areas of psychosocial assessment, treatment/intervention and coordination of care. Able to provide a variety of treatment modalities including individual, couples, group and family therapy. Utilizes a theoretical base of knowledge to assess, diagnose, formulate interventions and evaluate clinical outcomes. Candidate should be able to prioritize and manage caseload within a fast paced multi-disciplinary setting.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Masters School of Social Work.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Currently licensed either at the LICSW or LCSW level by the Massachusetts Board of Licensure for Social Work. The per diem role is to support our Level 1 emergency room 3p -11:30p on the weekends w/a minimum of 3 shifts per month. There may be availability also during the week for additional work, but primary role is the ED on the wknd evening shifts
