About the Job

The weekend incentive program has been initiated by the Hospital to support weekend staffing, we have created a program which will provide a stipend to colleagues in the program positions for each weekend worked, in addition to hourly rate for all hours worked and applicable overtime or differentials. 

• Night-shift program nurses will receive a stipend of $600 for each weekend in which both weekend night shifts are worked

Johnson 4 is a medical/surgical and cardiac telemetry Progressive Care Unit. Johnson 4 generally accepts patients 18 years of age or older with cardiac and Medical/ surgical conditions.   Common Medical Diagnoses · Heart failure · STEMI/NSTEMI · Acute Coronary Syndrome · Syncope · Cardiac Dysrhythmia · Cerebral Vascular Accident · Circulatory disorder · Chest Pain · Pre and Post Pacemaker/AICD placement · Pre and Post Cardiac Catheterization

As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Team, you will be responsible for the following:

• Complete assessments, administer medications/treatments, observes patient’s progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness
• Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient
• Support and educate patients and their loves ones to achieve maximum outcomes

Scheduled Hours

24 hours per week nights shift, Weekend incentive

Nights are defined as Friday and Saturday 7p-7:30a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• ACLS preferred
• PCU Experience required
• Progressive Telemetry Competency Education ~ preferred
