About the Job

Working under the supervision of the clinical and academic team, the Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in the coordination of youth services and providing trauma informed care, support and supervision to youth in a school setting.  In addition, the Support Specialist is responsible for tracking and collecting data on  a student’s progress toward relevant IEP goals and providing coaching and mentoring within the school setting to all students.


  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with school staff to provide a safe and supportive environment for students in and outside of the classroom.
  • Under the supervision of teaching staff, assists with classroom instruction as needed.
  • Under the supervision of clinical and teaching staff, reinforces collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution skills and coaches students on how to express emotions safely and respectfully.
  • Attends scheduled supervision and staff meetings and integrates feedback into work performance.
  • Supervises students at lunch and in the hallways, as needed.
  • Completes administrative duties as assigned under the supervision of the Solstice administrative team, including but not limited to greeting visitors, tracking student attendance, maintaining student records, and organizing select school files.


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience working in a school, therapeutic or related setting with adolescents is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to relate and desire work with a diverse adolescent population in a sensitive manner, an interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting and must share a customer service orientation.
  • Computer literate in standard desktop applications such as Google Workspace, Windows, Word, and Excel. 
  • Must have possession of current driver's license, access to a vehicle and personal automobile insurance.

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours. M-F 7:30a-3:00p
