About the 6 West Progressive Care Unit 

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our 9 bed Progressive Care Unit! These patients in our PCU have a variety of complex medical backgrounds. They require frequent monitoring and a high level of critical thinking. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team and on occasion, our ICU team, in managing these patients. In the PCU, the nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 on all shifts. We work closely with all members of the patient care team to consistently deliver high quality, patient-centered care.

About the 6 West Progressive Care Unit 

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our 9 bed Progressive Care Unit! These patients in our PCU have a variety of complex medical backgrounds. They require frequent monitoring and a high level of critical thinking. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team and on occasion, our ICU team, in managing these patients. In the PCU, the nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 on all shifts. We work closely with all members of the patient care team to consistently deliver high quality, patient-centered care.

Scheduled Hours 

24 or 36 Nights/Days; rotating schedule; every other weekend and holiday rotation commitment 

Qualifications 

Education 
Graduate of a 2-4 year state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing 

BSN Degree Requirement
 

Licensure, Certification, Registration 

  • Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration 

  • BLS certification with American Heart Association 

  • ACLS certification with American Heart Association 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities 

  • Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients according to Nursing Policy and Procedures. See Skill Record. 
     

  • Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the clinic specific competencies. 
     

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 

Experience 

Acute care medical-surgical experience of 2 years preferred  

 

Scheduled Hours

36 Nights/Days rotating schedule; 4 weeks Nights; 4 weeks Days; every other weekend and holiay rotation commitment

Qualifications

Education
