About the Job

The Project Manager, BILHPN Compliance & Privacy supports the Executive Director, Compliance & Privacy Strategy, in managing the privacy and compliance requirements of all BILHPN contracts (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial).  This includes managing the BILHPN compliance & privacy workplan, coordinating audits, updating policies, implementing risk management strategies, tracking and reviewing reported incidents, supporting the development of board reports and provider / employee training materials, and other duties as needed.

The program manager has excellent organizational and time management skills, an established record of professionalism and ability to keep information confidential and privileged, and is able to collaboratively partner with BILHPN staff, as well as the BILH legal and compliance departments.

The program manager demonstrates integrity in all aspects of his/her role and is an ambassador for promoting a culture of compliance throughout the BILH system. 


The Project Manager, Compliance & Privacy Responsibilities are:

  1. Work directly with the BILHPN Executive Director of Compliance & Privacy Strategy, BILHPN Associate General Counsel, and BILH Compliance Leadership, to manage and track the BILHPN compliance and privacy annual workplan, reported events / complaints, audits, board updates, physician and staff training
  2. Support the Executive Director in planning, executing, and managing investigations, engaging other BILH Compliance subject matter experts and consulting with legal counsel as needed to effectively manage timely and thorough reviews; maintaining appropriate documentation, providing periodic updates to leadership, appraising stakeholders of potential risk, and invoking escalation protocols as appropriate. Track corrective actions, monitors implementation and maintains running status updates to be delivered as needed
  3. Track annual risk assessment and other related initiatives
  4. Project manage the Compliance and Privacy Program for the Performance Network, and the associated Compliance & Privacy Management Committee
  5. Develop materials, working with the Executive Director, for relevant trainings, committee meetings, board meetings, and BILH Compliance department meetings
  6. Ensure effective tracking of reports, timely follow-up and investigation. Support the Executive Director in providing routine updates on progress, and/or corrective action when deficiencies are identified
  7. Support the Executive Director in coordinating and/or responding to requests from BILH Compliance Leadership which may include board report preparation, review and investigation of select topics, audit requests, periodic surveys, serving on ad hoc committees, assisting with the annual Work Plan, education and training and other initiatives, etc.
  8. Provide pertinent information and reference material in response to client and regulatory requests for information.
  9. Create and maintain a master list of all BIDCO contracts, including Hospital and Physician Payor contracts, vendor agreements, and leases, in a spreadsheet or contract management system.

Qualifications: 

•         Bachelors requires, masters preferred

3-5 years of demonstrated experience in project management, including ability to manage strictly confidential information

•          Excellent Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills

•          Strong communication skills
