About the Job

Position Summary:

 

FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR COLLEGE GRADUATES!!

Under the general direction of the Manager of Employee Health Services and exercising independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of the job, this position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the Respiratory Fit Test Program.  Perform the function of the liaison with the Fit test vendor and coordinates all testing, scheduling and paperwork. Monitor and report on the result of fit testing. Project Management within the Employee Health department in other areas including but not limited to colleague flu vaccination program; employee health surveillance programs.  The Employee Health’ Project coordinator possesses knowledge of employee health, occupational health, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  1. Efficiently organize and manage fit-testing and data collection for varying numbers of employees presenting for fit test sessions.
  1. Prepare for fit test session with equipment set up and paperwork accessible prior to start time of sessions
  1. Ensure that employee has completed the OSHA Respiratory Medical Questionnaire prior to fit testing and that they have been cleared by a clinician prior to testing. 
  1. Maintain confidentiality of all Respiratory Questionnaires
  1. Clean and store equipment properly after sessions conclude
  1. Ensure accuracy of fit testing records in electronic medical record.
  1. Provide/monitor Train the trainer programs as needed
  1. Ensure compliance to annual respirator fit testing and training by submitting required reports to Respiratory Protection Committee
  1. Works independently on assigned projects; works as an effective part of the Employee Health Team;  works on collaboration with other members of the Human Resources team and other departments and entities within the BILH network.
  1. Seeks consultation and advice, assuring an inclusive and cooperative atmosphere
  1. Prepares reports and is able to present report and project findings; participates in project meeting
  1. Assist the EHS manager with oversight of the RPP
  1. Assist the EHS manager with oversight of the Flu vaccination program

Scheduled Hours

40  hours per week, day shift.

Qualifications

Education:

  Associate Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

 

  Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive to all locations

 

Experience:

 

1-3 years of experience in respirator fit testing. Experience in healthcare setting preferred,

 

 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.

Must have a working knowledge of and experience in fitting all types of commonnly used resirators, including N95,powered air purifying respirators (PAPR/CAPR), envo mask and elastometric masks.

Proficiency with electronic systems (Peoplesoft, Employee Health database systems, web bases systems)

Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Effective/Excellent customer service skills.

Maintains high standards of confidentiality in spoken word and with written documentation.

Effective written and oral communication skils
