About the Job

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the HR Representative provides support to the Services team, as well as managers and colleagues for administration, staffing, new hire process, onboarding, compliance, and other HR projects and initiatives throughout the employment lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • As part of the Services HR team, the HR Representative is a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries.

  • Actively participates as a member of the Human Resources team, participating in projects, activities and various work assignments.  Participates in programs that enhance development, communication, processes and other workflows.

  • Supports executive staffing and related activities by coordinating schedules for candidate interviews and members of leadership.  May prepare and distribute information and reports related to this.

  • Responds to inquiries from candidates and keeps them informed of the process.  May further participate in the recruitment process, as necessary.

  • Manages onboarding activities for candidates to ensure a positive onboarding experience.  Communicates with candidates and internal stakeholders regarding the new hire process throughout the onboarding cycle. 

  • Coordinates and ensures all pre-employment requirements are met including background checks, health screenings, new hire paperwork, ID badge, etc.

  • Provides general support to the Services staff for transaction management and other employment lifecycle activities, as assigned.

  • Monitors completion of I-9 forms ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws.  Participates in compliance-related audits and ensures that HR files are complete.  Monitors USCIS requirements and communicates to HR staff for compliance.

  • Maintains vendor relationship for licensure compliance; updates licensure requests and manages exception reports.

  • Manages responses to unemployment claims and maintains vendor relationship; manages activities related to annual MVR checks and compliance; ensures compliance with all labor law postings; monitors visa status and partners with HRIS for reporting.

  • Prepares periodic reports and summaries to keep HR and business leaders appraised of activity.

  • Provides analytical insight and applies critical thinking in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of HR business processes.  

  • Other projects include the employee exit process, program administration and immigration case management.

  • 2-4 years of experience working in Human Resources in a generalist capacity.
