About the Job

Position Summary:              


The Pharmacy Ambulatory Program Leader is responsible for leading, growing, and improving all aspects of ambulatory services and programs for Northeast Hospital Corporation.


The incumbent will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Operations Manager/Medication Safety Officer, and Pharmacy Clinical Manager to support the service lines’ overall effectiveness and oversee the optimization of pharmacy services related to the care of patients requiring ambulatory services.  Maintains ambulatory medication related policies and procedures.


The Pharmacy Ambulatory Program Leader is responsible for the selection, training, mentoring, and performance management of Ambulatory Staff including Pharmacists and Technicians. 


Must have ability to work independently and assume responsibility for the implementation of projects.  Serves as a pharmacy liaison to ambulatory sites.   Responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients.  Must be able to work at multiple sites.

Scheduled Hours

40 hour, exempt position, day shift.

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a Pharmacist in good standing
  • 5+ years of clinical or operations experience within a hospital or ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Past supervisory experience preferred
  • Current Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and/or Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) preferred.

Certification/License:            Current Massachusetts State License
