About the Job

Position Summary:  

Under the general supervision of the HIM supervisor, the Duplicate Patient Record Coordinator is responsible for identifying, receiving, correcting and communicating duplicate patient medical record number data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of both the paper and electronic patient health record and all down stream electronic systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, Registration:  None Required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:   Ability to work independently, to effectively organize and prioritize workflow tasks, and to effectively, professionally and clearly communicate with customers in a positive manner. Ability to access and process electronic information utilizing computer technology.  Ability to maintain efficiency while using multiple electronic systems.

Experience:   Minimum 6 months of prior work experience involving use of computers and interaction with customers. Prefer experience in healthcare. Experience with Epic is desired.
