About the Job

Sign on bonus up to $3000 (pro-rated for part time)

We are seeking a Family Therapist for the Hart House Program within our Addictions Division. Hart House is a residential recovery home for women and their children that provides services including: individual, family and group therapy, relapse prevention, parenting education and access/referral to community resources. The Family Therapist counsels clients and participates in treatment and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate is collaborative and motivated to help clients meet their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, child and group counseling to help clients achieve treatment goals.
  • Complete a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of clients to formulate a treatment plan.
  • Shares responsibility for educational and other group programming.
  • Attend meetings as required including: staff meetings, supervision, client treatment team meetings, DCF meetings and other appropriate meetings.
  • Refer clients to other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, employment services, psychiatric evaluations and medication evaluations.
  • Monitor client’s progress in the program to evaluate success of therapy and adapt treatment as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and case histories in accordance with agency guidelines for format, timeliness, and quality assurance.
  • Perform direct service duties as directed.
  • Share in on-call responsibilities for the program.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, rehabilitative counseling or a closely related field.
  • Substance use disorders counseling experience preferred.

Schedule:

  • Full time, 40 hours
