About the Job

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a Level I trauma center, has an excellent opportunity for an Emergency Department Nurse Manager. Recognized by Healthgrades as one of America’s 50 best hospitals for the third consecutive year, we have the largest adult liver transplant program in the Us. In addition, we also perform 50-60 procedures daily throughout our 22 operating rooms.

Our new spacious, state-of-the-art Emergency Department has:

  • 44 beds in over 45,000 square feet
  • Completely new entrances with a sun-filled reception area
  • A convenient imaging suite
  • Pharmacy
  • Fast-track area
  • Behavioral health suite
  • Private treatment rooms

At Lahey Hospital & Medical Center we utilize complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient assessment and care documentation, and to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients. Computerized self-scheduling is available.

Along with excellent critical thinking skills, a desire to exceed patient expectations and good interpersonal skills, we require:

  • State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)
  • At least one year of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute care setting
  • At least one year of nursing experience in the ED is preferred
  • BSN, ACLS and EHR experience is preferred
