About the Job
Part time position
7pm - 7am
7 shifts per 28 day cycle required
Under the general direction of the collaborating hospital medicine attending, responsible for providing preventative patient care in addition to assessing acute and chronic treatment programs and seeking consultation or referral as necessary as well as admitting patients as needed to support attending MD
Practitioners should have at least one year of Advanced Practice experience in Hospital Medicine, Critical Care or other related field qualifications.
Education:
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Program. Documentation of registration for next NCCPA Board administration or successful completion of NCCPA Board and maintenance of appropriate CME
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Certification and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
DEA number and Mass Department of Public Health Division of Food and Drug Restricted Substances registration number as appropriate.
Written prescription privilege protocols signed by all attendings with whom the individual will be working
Shift Details:
12hr shifts
Primarily responsible for Cross Coverage for Hospital Medicine census
Will assist with admissions
Will work as admitter on any shift where three APs are scheduled together 7a - 7p
basis to provide such services as are designated from time to time by the Group
Additional tasks as required by the department
