About the Job

Beverly Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is currently searching for a full time Attending Nurse Practitioner to join their inpatient team. 

Details:

  • Full time position (40 hours/week)
  • Monday - Friday

  • Availability to moonlight on weekends for additional compensation

Responsibilities::

  • Assumes responsibility for the clinical management of assigned patients (except when specific arrangements are made for coverage with the DOC or another member of the medical staff) on an inpatient psychiatric unit.  

 

  • Collaborates with Clinical Nurse Manager, allied disciplines, and patient’s outpatient network to ensure that safe, therapeutic and effective treatment is provided for all patients. 

 

  • Expected to lead, work collaboratively, and to provide appropriate clinical direction and support to the multidisciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of patient care.

 

  • Orders tests/procedures in a clinically sound and cost-effective manner using good judgment.

 

  • Participates in collaboration with hospitalists and specialists in providing psychiatric care for patients with medical/surgical/OB needs.

 

Education:

- Graduate of a Master's Program in Nursing 

- ANCC or AANP certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing as a Nurse Practitioner

- Other NP certification will be considered in lieu of psychiatric and mental health experience

- Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will also be considered 

- Current NP license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

- DEA and MCSR
