About the Job
Arranges for efficient and orderly checking in and out of patients, registering patients in the computer ensuring that accurate information is collected and patients are made aware of office policies. Schedules all appointments, collects payments, enters charges, and issues receipts. Provide referrals and maintain smooth operations of all front desk activities at all times. The Medical Receptionist responds to patient questions, coordinates services to be rendered to patients, participates in Call Center rotations and maintains physician schedules.

Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
Demonstrate a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
Participate in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.
Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Associates degree in business, high school diploma or equivalent years of experience in a professional setting
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
Previous experience in a medical office
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Performing medical scheduling, and with medical software; working experience with medical terminology; appropriate English usage; excellent phone skills and dealing with customers in person; even temperament; ability to handle stressful situations.
