About the Job
Performs a variety of task & technical procedures that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations including: Specimen collection & triage, specimen processing, routine staining and special specimen preparation. Performs a variety of tasks associated with Pathology surgical bench assisting including: specimen collection and triage, assisting the pathologist or pathologist's assistant and specimen accessioning. Operates and maintains departmental instruments. Maintains records & documentation required to manage the daily workflow and provide QC/QA monitors. Demonstrates interpersonal skills required to successfully perform as a team member in a constantly changing environment. Maintains confidentiality regarding all phases of laboratory work and findings.
40 hours per week, day shift.

Associates's degree with one year clinical lab experience or High School diploma with three years clinical lab experience.
