About the Job
The Senior Adult Unit (SAU) provides acute inpatient psych/med care for older adults. Average lenghth of stay is 10 days. This is a voluntary, restraint free unit which is licensed by DPH. It is not considered a mental health unit licensed by DMH.
The primary goal of the program is the stabilization of symptoms through interventions of:
The Senior Adult Unit is an ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) program which aims to improve clinical outcomes by providing multidisciplinary care in a safe and comfortable environment. The SAU team' is trained in the specialized care of the elderly. The unit serves as the hub of Beverly & Addison Gilbert's Hospitals (members of Beth Israel Lahey Health) NICHE Exemplar recognized program.
24 hours per week, day shift. Every other weekend & holiday required.
