About the Job
Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Lahey Health System. Beverly Hospital is a community hospital and consists of 10 operating rooms at the main campus and 4 operating rooms at the Lahey Outpatient Surgery Center located in Danvers, MA. We provide a wide range of specialties including; orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics, cysto, and ENT. The RN First Assistant is responsible for providing safe patient care for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the care of the periOp patient including assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care during the periOp phase of care.
In addition to his/her Registered Professional Nurse responsibilities, the RN First Assistant functions as first assistant to the primary surgeon during operative or other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice, credentials, privileges, education, and experience.
40 hours per week, day shift.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current MA RN license, BLS required, CNOR preferred , Successful completion of additional education preparation specific to the role of RNFA including a supervised clinical component
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Strong communication skills and exceptional patient relation and customer service skills are critical.
