About the Job
The Tewksbury Treatment Center is a detoxification program dedicated to helping men and women by providing 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual’s withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during the one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. Services include individual case management and group treatment services focused on assisting the client with accessing step-down levels of care. The RN position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a critical impact in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction.
The RN’s Responsibilities Are:
Establishes/oversees medication administration protocol
Monitors the biomedical status of and conditions of clients to ensure safety & maintains daily reporting of status
Participates in referring clients to appropriate medical/dental services and ensures necessary aftercare linkages and appointments are established upon discharge
Provides instruction and training to behavioral health staff when applicable
Administers TB tests and documents results
Other duties as assigned
This is a part-time, 32 hour/week, benefits eligible position. The anticipated schedule is 3pm-11pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and every other weekend.
