About the Job
Provides leadership to administrative and clinical support staff as it relates to daily operations. Establishes a work environment that facilitates department functioning, cohesion, and teamwork. Assists with the development of appropriate roles for staff to reflect departmental needs.
Ensures adequate staffing coverage.
Interviews and hires support staff for positions and makes recommendations on hiring decisions to Executive Director.
Develops job standards, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient workflow.
Conducts annual performance appraisals and takes disciplinary action when appropriate.
Maintains personnel files and submits paperwork for hiring, terminations and transfers.
Assists in preparation of departmental budget and monitors budget performance.
Assigns and maintains staff on-call and clinical schedules.
Oversees promotional projects in the center (Website, brochure).
Monitoring and reconciliation of patient accounts- this is a large portion of the position- work closely with Cash Posting team for charge and payment review and oversight of self-pay processes within the cosmetic center
Product retail- inventory/sales
Partners with vendors to keep the Cosmetic Center current with technology updates and new procedures.
Responsible for adherence with Regulatory Compliance
The clinical manager functions as a patient coordinator, counselling patients on issues of surgical and non-surgical treatments.
The Cosmetic Center is unique in that the majority of the treatments are voluntary and therefore are reliant upon the clinical manager for promotion and marketing of the center to drive the business.
Business degree or equivalent education and experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and interact professionally with all levels of clinical personnel.
Three to five years health care experience with knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing applications.
