About the Job

Under the general supervision of the Director and within established hospital, clinic, and department policies and procedures provides a first point of contact for patients, visitors, colleagues, and vendors arriving at Lahey Clinic. Performs a variety of patient and customer centric functions as determined by business needs including , but not limited to: efficiently and cheerfully greeting and directing patients to appointments as they arrive at the clinic, receiving and directing linguists to assignments, assisting with the coordination of language service assignments. Assisting patients with retrieving oxygen if needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Graduate or GED

Licensure, Certification, Registration: None Required

Experience: At least 1 year of experience gained in a professional medical, business or service environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  
Requires excellent communication skills required

Ability to interface professionally with a broad range of multicultural patients, visitors, individuals, and vendors

Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times

Ability to respond calmly and professionally in difficult situations

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.

Knowledge of personal computers

Shift

20 hours; evenings
