About the Job
Transitional Support Services (TSS) is a program dedicated to helping men and women by providing short-term residential support services to individuals in early recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction. Clients are provided with the tools they need to begin developing skills of daily living including goal setting, problem solving, and self-advocacy. Services include nursing support, individual case management, group treatment sessions, aftercare planning, and more. The TSS Nurse position is a great opportunity for someone who seeks to make a critical impact in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction.
The Nurse's Responsibilities Are:
Records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions to treatments and changes in patients safety status
Collaborates with team in providing health information and maintains clients’ medical records
Responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patients with activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeutic environment
Assists with the admitting, discharge and transfer process
Participates in treatment team meetings & assists with development of care plans
Administers medications to patients (if approved to do so) and educates Recovery Specialists on proper medication dispensing guidelines
Other duties as assigned
