About the Job
Position Summary: Ensures maintenance department operates according to The Herrick House policies and procedures and that all residents, family members, visitors and employee needs are met. Supervises and directs the maintenance functions to maintain the residence in a clean, safe environment in an efficient manner. Must ensure maintenance personnel perform repairs of the residence, maintaining physical appearance of the grounds as well as ensuring that the building is physically sound and safe. Work with outside contractors. Must be available 24/7 via pager/celluar phone for plant issues and emergencies.
Education/Experience: Knowledge of maintenance functions and techniques, OSHA standards and local/state/federal fire codes and other safety regulations are required. Also required is the ability to organize and provide the maintenance needs of the residence and work with outside vendors and contractors as required. The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is essential. A high school diploma is required. Computer knowledge required.
Certification/License: Valid driver's license in the state employed is required, with no more than two moving violations in a three-year period as determined by our insurance broker.
