The Surgical Technician is a trained individual with advanced technical knowledge & skills in asepsis & the intraoperative phase of surgical patient care management of pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Based upon such expertise, the Surgical Tech is responsible for providing all the necessary instrumentation, supplies & equipment for the surgical procedure. As a member of the Obstetrics team, the OB Surgical Technologist provides direct patient care under the direction & supervision of the Circulating Nurse (RN). Is responsible for meeting established OR standards for supplies & other equipment on the unit; is responsible for developing collaborative & collegial relationships with physicians & interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the care of the surgical patient.
36 hours per week, night shift. Weekend requirements, rotating. No call requirements

High School Graduate or Equivalent. CST Certification required at the time of hire and BLS certification required
