About the Job

The Tewksbury Treatment Center is a 32 bed detoxification program dedicated to helping men and women by providing 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual’s withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during the one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. Services include individual case management and group treatment services focused on assisting the client with accessing step-down levels of care. The role of the Case Manager is a great opportunity for someone who has the skills to act as an advocate and a mediator and the willingness to take charge. 

The Case Manager Responsibilities Are:

  • Participates in assessments and evaluation services, aids in formulating effective treatment plans, discharge planning and assists in conducting individual and/ or group, family substance use counseling and case management services in a residential transitional care facility
  • Assesses patient’s continuing care needs, contacts appropriate after care resources and arranges for transfer or admission to appropriate levels of care and or liaison with self-help organizations.
  • Attends staff meetings and participates in client evaluations and case conferences.
  • Counsels clients individually and/or in family and in group sessions to assist client in achieving treatment goals under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor
  • Refers client to other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services and employment services
  • Prepares and maintains reports and case histories in accordance with agency guidelines for format, timeliness and quality assurance.


  • A minimum of one year related experience and/or training in the area of addiction treatment. Associates Degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Knowledge of relevant community resources for continuing care required.
  • Valid MA Driver’s License in good standing preferred

Full Time Days - 40 hours
