NEURO PCU:

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced acute care nurse to join our new Neuroscience Critical Care Unit team as a Progressive Care Nurse. We are looking for a dynamic Registered Nurse to join our team that is seeking a role in which they are at the forefront of delivering state of the art Neurocritical Care. As a Registered Nurse in the NCCU, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical excellence in patient-centered care, while being empowered through evidence-based practice, continuing education, collaboration, and shared governance to deliver nursing care at the highest level with empathy and kindness in the forefront.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center proudly holds a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation and is proudly growing Neuroscience Critical Care within the organization. The NCCU is an acute intensive care unit specializing in the care of acutely ill patients with life threatening neurologic disease or life threatening neurological manifestation of a system disease. Using the latest technologies, nursing staff deliver care to patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, osmotic therapy, vasopressor management, in addition to providing support and comfort to the families of these patients.

Requirements:

• BSN Required
• A minimum of 2 years in a general acute care setting with telemetry experience. Applicants demonstrating a strong interest in the neuroscience specialty are preferred.
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
• New graduate nurses and applicants without acute care experience will not be considered.
   
  Preferred:

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS certification preferred.
• 2 years or more of Neuroscience experience at an acute care facility.
• American Association of Critical Care Nurses Progressive Care Registered Nurse (PCCN) certification.

Shift

24 Hours Days with every third weekend commitment  and holiday rotation 7:00am-7:30pm

Day/Night rotation to support the needs of patient care in the critical care units.
