About the Job
Position Summary: Under the direction of the nurse manager the Service Line Coordinator is responsible and accountable for optimizing available resources while independently and collaboratively assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of the surgical patient. The Service Line Coordinator for Orthopedics responsible for providing leadership, clinical education, clinical expertise and functional direction to other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: BSN Preferred. Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of an accredited program of professional nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must possess current Commonwealth of Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards. Experience: Requires 5 years of perioperative nursing experience necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of unit and department policies and procedures, and to fulfill quality and quantity standards for the job |

Schedule based on the needs of Ophthalmology as well as the needs of the department
