About the Job

Position Summary: 

Under general direction of the Administrative Director, performs a variety of supervisory duties in support of the daily operations of the outpatient clinics; ensuring appropriate patient access and coordinating indirect patient care.  Provides functional guidance to other administrative staff and is responsible for the HR function as it applies to the same.  Exercises independent judgment and decision making within the scope of the job.  Possesses and applies above average proficiency and facility in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and creation/edition of presentations. Serves as the primary point of contact for front-line staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Work requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree or specialized training in administrative and/or office services.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  Thoroughly proficient in MS Office Suite and various Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).  Working knowledge of medical terminology.  Proven customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills.  Proven ability to multitask in a high volume and fast paced environment.  Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

Experience:  Minimum 3 years experience in a high-volume medical office or hospital/clinic setting with responsibilities that include a mix of scheduling, coordinating/managing special projects, and management of staff.
