Winchester Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is currently seeking a Bariatric Advanced Practitioner Program Coordinator to become part of our Bariatric Surgical Services Team and Weight Management Program. This Bariatric Advanced Practitioner Program Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the care patients receive when they choose the Winchester Hospital Weight Management Program. The position attends information sessions to assist patients in knowing their options, as well as coordinating care between the medical and surgical programs. The position will work in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and is responsible for the administration of our hospital’s Bariatric Surgery Program, including partnering with physicians, nurse leaders, and the care team. Serving as the Bariatric Surgery clinical expert and leader, this candidate will secure a successful patient outcome and experience. The program coordinator will administer the accreditation process; provide education to patients and staff in the various facets of Bariatric Surgery with a focus on safety while ensuring continuous compliance with MBSAQIP.
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree and a valid Massachusetts Advanced Practitioner license Must have at least 3 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practitioner in acute care, med/surg or perioperative setting
Preferred: Concentrated experience with Bariatric patients and/or Bariatric Surgery. Certification in Bariatric Nursing within 2 years in the position Certification in Bariatric Nursing
