Position Summary:                                                                

Provides a wide variety of basic to advanced maintenance procedures to buildings and equipment, including repairs, preventive maintenance, fire and life safety inspections and facilities improvement and modernization  Operates boilers, emergency generators, chillers, and HVAC equipment throughout the hospital complex under the direction of the Chief Engineer.  Performs routine testing and preventative maintenance on CHP Plant equipment.  Performs routine testing of water treatment for boilers, cooling towers, and chillers.  Maintains Operator Log, State Operator Log, and Water Chemistry Log.  Effectively manages Energy Management System.

Scheduled Hours

40 hours per week, day shift.

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:          

  1. High School Graduate with vocational training, 4 years apprenticeship.
  2. Minimum 5-7 hears experience in field of training.
  3. Knowledge of healthcare setting and ability to read blueprints or schematic drawings desirable.

 

Certification/License:           

  1. Current Massachusetts driver’s license required.
  2.  2nd Class Fireman or above
