About the Job

The Revenue Cycle Reporting Analyst develops requirements reports, dashboards, and datasets.  The analyst also provides support function, content expertise, and the analysis, planning, design, creating, and maintenance of simple to complex revenue cycle reports/database projects, as well as other duties assigned by the organization.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Analyzes revenue cycle data by collection, monitoring, and creating revenue cycle reports that  is distributed monthly to upper management
  • Develops dynamic reports enabling end users to define numerous parameters that allow end users to filter and aggregate as required.  Creates custom reports that allow end users to drill down for more detail
  • Interviews requestors, sponsors, and subject matter experts in regards to the development of specifications and proactively identifies and communicates barriers to completing work requirements.
  • Provides support and training to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports
  • Documents specifications for each report including both technical specifications and a summary of the report.
  • Develops SQL server stored procedures, views, functions, performance tables, and well-tuned queries
  • Completes functional, unit, and integrated testing and adheres to all quality standards
  • Analyzes and profiles data contained in relational databases using both SQL query language and DBMS business tools.
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being process, stored, or accessed by the system
  • Achieves and maintains certifications according to organizational standards
  • Stays current with new application functionality and enhancements
  • Creates SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, calendars, web part pages, dashboards, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.  In absence of Bachelor’s Degree has eight years of related experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in  healthcare based  Revenue Cycle
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in reporting and analytical analysis
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Microsoft applications
  • Epic experience preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of healthcare based revenue cycle models, systems, and processes
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs, specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of programming tools, such as Epic, Crystal, SQL, and SAP Business Objects
  • Skilled in complining, analyzing, and presenting complex data.
