About the Job

BayRidge Hospital, a member of Lahey Health, is currently searching for a full time Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join their inpatient units to fill a challenging but rewarding position set in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment. This free-standing psychiatric hospital provides accessible, high-quality mental health and substance abuse treatment to adults 18 years and older.


This inpatient Nurse Practitioner will assume responsibility for the clinical management of assigned patients at all times (except when specific arrangements are made for coverage with the DOC or another member of the medical staff). Collaborates with Clinical Nurse Manager, EPS and observation staff, allied disciplines, and patient's outpatient network to ensure that safe, therapeutic and effective treatment is provided for all patients; is expected to lead, work collaboratively,and provide appropriate clinical direction and support to the multidisciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of patient care. Orders tests/procedures in a clinically sound and cost effective manner using good judgement. Reviews patients daily with supervising psychiatrist.


- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine

- Current NP license in Massachusetts

- Board certification (or eligibility) in psychiatry and/or substance abuse treatment

- Theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the clinical area 

- Represents the organization positively


This position is a full time (40 hour) position, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
