Coders analyze patient records and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes based on physician documentation.
Coders abstract information that is used to classify patients, define patterns, and collect pertinent data.
Required to follow specific guidelines outlined in the American Hospital Association coding Clinic govern'ng the appropriate assignment of codes.
Strong understanding of Evaluation and Management code assignment.
40 hours per week, day shift.

Associates/Bachelor degree preferred
RHIA & RHIT desired
CPC, CCA, CCS (or equivalent) required
Experience with ICD-10 and CPT-4 as well as evaluation and management coding.
Understanding of medical terminology, clinical medicine and human anatomy and physiology.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Must have 1+ years coding experience.
