The Patient Service Representative provides extraordinary care to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous and professional service. He/She is the patient's advocate within Beverly Hospital at Danvers and/or Clinics. The PSR is responsible for effective patient/clinic coordination, scheduling of appointments, registration, cashiering functions and data entry. He/She acts as a liaison between patients and professional staff by facilitating revenue cycle responsibilities and administrative departmental tasks.
Essential Functions: This position is a key contributor to overall customer satisfaction and clinic work flow with specific responsibilities in the following areas:
Revenue Cycle Management: Greeting; registration; insurance verification; co-pay collection; printing/obtaining requisitions for patients that present without an order; general customer service.
Administrative support: Facilitates daily administrative clinic activity; prepares and organizes clinic schedules; works closely with providers on schedule changes/alterations to maximize resource utilization; follow-up care planning; maintains timely order processing and no show/cancellation recovery planning; addresses patient and provider inquiries (phone, fax, email); assists with departmental administrative support (ordering supplies, copying, etc.)
32 hours per week, day shift.
