About the Job

The Exercise Physiologist provides clinical supervision and instruction to medically complex cardiac and pulmonary patients in an outpatient rehab setting. 

The clinician will collaborate with other disciplines to assist with developing individual exercise plans, provide health education, and emotional support to patients. 

This role will have an impact on patient satisfaction by providing the patient with a program that can increase their exertion level, and facilitate a healthy lifestyle.

** This is a per diem position **

Education: 

-Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology required

Experience:     

-Exercise stress testing experience desired

-Will consider new graduates of a Bachelor’s Degree Program

Other Required Skills/Knowledge:

-Excellent communication and customer service skills 

-Ability to collaborate with other disciplines

-Basic Computer Skills

-EPIC training 

-Ability to obtain and understand blood pressure readings

-For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors, and fellow members of the hospital team

 LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 1 year of hire 

-Basic Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire
