About the Job


Under the general supervision and direction of the Senior Clinical Research Associate you will be responsible for coordinating oncology research studies for the Clinical Research Program, as well as for generating reports and statistical information relating to these research studies and oncology research in general.

Additionally, you will:

  • Implement assigned research studies
  • Prepare tracking system
  • Develop computer database for use in the study
  • Conduct in-services to departments
    • Develop tools to help lab and pharmacy perform all study procedures
    • Assure all department members are aware of study coordinator contract numbers and inclusive/exclusive criteria prior to the start of the study
  • Submit study to research office for review by IRB
  • Assist physicians with study protocol treatment of patients
  • Complete all necessary paperwork associated with the study
  • Data management
  • Evaluate and revise practices and procedures
  • Recruit patients to research studies
  • Participate in and assist with other research projects when assigned

In addition to strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to function independently, ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in biologic or social sciences and at least five years of clinical/hospital operations experience at least three of which are research study or data management experience.


Education:  Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or related field

Licensure, Certification, Registration:  none

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:     (see Clinical Competencies)  Ability to perform FEES, MBS, standard testing for speech/language disorders, formal voice evaluations and alaryngeal speech, including TEP voice prosthesis placement and/or training to achieve competency in the aforementioned areas.  Excellent verbal skills.

Experience:    Experience in medical – speech/language pathology setting.
