About the Job



            Required:         Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.

Degree in a program such to create the skill set required to facilitate difficult large group discussions. 

An additional 8 years of experience facilitating such groups may be considered in lieu of a relevant degree.



Required:         At least 2 years facilitating large groups and/or training

  Preferred:       Experience facilitating health care related discussions.


Other Skills/Knowledge:


  • Must maintain excellent teaching skills
  • For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
  • Facilitates the Schwartz Round sessions:
    • Participates in Schwartz committee meetings to provide insight in the planning of future events and to thoroughly comprehend the committee's priorities and desired outcome of the events.
    • Coordinates and collaborates with selected speakers to create program consistent with desired topics/agendas.  Coaches renowned speakers on targeting their audience and staying on the intended topic and theme.
    • Introduces speakers
    • Facilitates discussions, keeping attendees on point and sharing the floor.
    • Acts as liaison for outside organizations that wish to observe Winchester Hospital's Schwartz' Rounds program.
    • Provides insight into the discussions that occur.
    • Provide timely responses to emails and phone calls
    • Participates in determining annual compassionate caregiver award.
